Principal
Kumiko’s career includes experience at a Big 4 accounting firm and Grant Thornton LLP, followed by the development of RevUp Advisors LLC. With this firm, Kumiko assists clients investing in the United States through services such as accounting, international tax, and federal and state compliance, along with collaboration with other professional firms. Kumiko frequently writes for tax publications and speaks at industry seminars, supporting Japanese companies expanding into the U.S. Kumiko holds a Master of Science in Taxation from DePaul University. US CPA licensed in IL.

Shunichi Tsutsui
Transfer Pricing Director
Shunichi is a PhD Economist who has 20 years of transfer pricing consulting experience at PwC, and an additional 10 years at other Big 4 firms and Grant Thornton LLP. As a chief economic advisor, Shunichi has been involved in major US-Japan related transfer pricing issues for clients, including more than 70 advance pricing agreements (“APAs”) with the Internal Revenue Services and numerous transfer pricing U.S. documentation projects. His industry expertise covers a wide range, including automotive parts and chemical products manufacturing, consumer electronics, pharmaceutical R&D services, industrial product distribution, etc. Shunichi hosted many seminars and contributed articles to Bloomberg Tax and International Tax Journal (Japan), among other publications.

Keiko Arai
Tax Senior Associate
Keiko brings extensive expertise in finance, with strong background in managerial accounting, financial reporting, and budget control – experience gained at the U.S. based multinational corporations. After working at Grant Thornton LLP, Keiko joined RevUp Advisors LLC, where she is committed to clear and effective client communication. Her services include the preparation of federal and state corporate income tax returns, among other business-critical solutions.

Abdul Ahmad
Accounting Support Specialist
Abdul, (MBA, EA) an accounting professional with over 20 years of experience across manufacturing, sales, and R&D industries. Abdul brings strong foundation in corporate financial management including bookkeeping, consolidation, month-end and year-end close and external auditors’ correspondence. Proficient in multiple accounting software platforms, including QuickBooks online. Possesses an MBA, Enrolled Agent designation, and QuickBooks Certification.

Yoichi Ishizuka
Advisor
After the experience in audit services at an audit firm, Yoichi was involved in various tax-related practices at Grant Thornton Taiyo Tax firm, including tax compliance, handling tax audits and disputes, transfer pricing mutual agreement procedures (MAP) and advance pricing agreement (APA) , tax due diligence for acquisitions, and the development of tax governance frameworks for global companies. As a managing partner of Grant Thornton Taiyo tax firm, he was also engaged in overall firm management and participated in the operation of tax services across member firms as a member of the tax committee of its global network.
